Support funded by Veolia Environmental Services we plan to produce a Community Orchard for the parishioners in the Parish Meadows.

Our Aims:

• To provide a sustainable local food resource.
• To provide a tranquil and peaceful environment.
• To encourage and provide a wildlife habitat and pollinators.
• To encourage a communal spirit to look after and care for the trees
• To provide an education tool for the community.

We plan to plant a small fruit orchard of about fifteen fruit trees, not only apples but cherries, plums, gauges and pears.

We are looking for volunteers to plant and care for the trees and eventually to pick produce. The main task for the first two/three years is to manage the watering when the trees when they are at their most venerable.
