Privacy Policy

How Sustainable Bucklebury looks after your information

Sustainable Bucklebury is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we keep it safe and how long we keep it.

What we collect

When you fill in one of our forms – for example to book a repair at the Bucklebury Repair Cafe, to register for our newsletter, or to contact us – we collect the details you provide, which may include your:

  • Name
  • Contact details (email address and/or telephone number)
  • Approximate location (such as your village, street or postcode)
  • Details of the item you would like repaired, or the message you send us

How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • Organise and run our Repair Cafe events and respond to your repair request
  • Reply to enquiries and messages you send us
  • Send you the Sustainable Bucklebury newsletter, if you have asked to receive it
  • Understand where people hear about us and how far they travel, so we can improve our events

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

How we store it

The details you submit are stored in a secured database with restricted access, available only to the small number of Sustainable Bucklebury volunteers who need it to run our activities.

How long we keep it

We keep your name and contact details only for as long as we need them. If we have no contact with you for 2 years, your personal details are erased from our database.

Cookies

This website does not use cookies. Our forms are protected from spam by Google reCAPTCHA, which is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to erase it. To make a request, or if you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at contact@sustainablebucklebury.org.uk.
